Rangers (again!)

We were lucky enough to score free Rangers tickets again through Hector’s connections. We let Marco try out the fun and games they have for the kids behind centerfield. Once we figured out their token system and waited in line for 15 minutes he got 10 chances to hit a ball with a very skinny bat. Also, I might add that the pitcher was a 16 yr old girl that looked bored out of her mind. He had fun, but I don’t think that will be a regular activity at future games we attend.

Joaquin Gym- part II

Marco Gymnasics

Here is Marco in his gymnastics class. Marco has been participating in gymnastics at the Hurst Rec Center since he was 18 months old. He is now in the Tumbling Tots II class, which is the highest level he can go until it becomes a night class. He has learned so much, including cartwheels. This I am very proud of considering I never mastered the art of cartwheeling and to this day cannot do one correctly.

Joaquin Gymnastics

Joaquin loves his gymnastics class. We take these at the Hurst Rec Center once a week and the price is very affordable. This class is a mommy and me class but starting this summer he will move up to the tiny tykes level (only kids/parents must view behind the glass) I think I will just have to prep him a little before the first class. This is because anytime we go somewhere he asks, "and Marco go to?" or "and Mommy go with me?" I will cross my fingers.

Happy Belated Mother's (Nonni) Day

We made a super cute present (hand print flowers) to give to my mom (Nonni) for Mother's Day, but of course I dropped the ball and just got the package in the mail today. So if you are reading this mom, it should arrive in CA in a few days. :)





I have not had an opportunity to put a picture of myself on this blog yet. I figure I better do this ever now and then so I can see my age progression as well. :)

Strummin the Uke

I recently bought a ukelele on Amazon. Marco has been talking about playing guitar, and I have always secretly wanted to play the guitar. So I thought that if a bought something like a guitar, but kid sized we could all use it. The boys enjoyed making up songs while strumming. And I showed Marco a YouTube video with a little boy (probably 3 or 4 yrs old) playing a Jason Mraz song and I think that sealed the deal. The pictures are actually videos, but I have not figured out how to upload videos so that they will actually play on the blog. (So if anyone knows how to do this, please let me know)
