I don’t really think Marco knew all the words to this book, as we had just checked it out at the library. But apparently he was telling a good enough story using the words he knew and the pictures to keep Joaquin’s attention. I came upon them sitting nicely together that I just had to get a few pictures. That way, I can use this years later to show them that they really did get along and didn’t annoy each other every waking moment.
We finally got around to taking some pictures of my ever growing baby bump. We have done right around the same time (36 weeks) when I was pregnant with the boys. They are very excited about the baby coming and ask all the time when the baby will be here. I think the waiting will be like Christmas all over again for them. (and truthfully, I can hardly stand to wait either!)

On Christmas Eve we instructed the boys to come wake us up first before going to the living room to see what Santa had brought them. We wanted to catch the excitement on their faces but what we didn’t figure was that they would wake us up at 5:30am! I told them that it was too early and when they came back to our room at 6am Hector and I figured that they may not be able to contain their excitement much longer.

WOW, awesome Star Wars Lego spaceship! (thanks Papi for the help) Now lets just see how long it stays in one piece.
After all the presents were opened and thoroughly inspected we told the boys that we woke up too early and had to go back to bed. They choose to stay up and watch cartoons and continue to play with their new toys. I also mentioned (in jest) that if they got hungry to eat some of their gingerbread houses until we woke up to make breakfast. I thought that they cherished them too much to eat them….little did I know. This is what we found when we woke up a few hours later. The demolition crew had arrived! But in hindsight, that is probably what allowed us to sleep in until 10am, so it was ALL GOOD!
The boys have been asking to buy one of the gingerbread kits sold in the stores for weeks now. I always remember those kits to have hard, stale gingerbread blocks accompanied by even harder, old candy. Since I knew that they would most likely want to eat some of it, I decided that we would make our own homemade gingerbread. Luckily I had some gingerbread cookie mix in the pantry so we made that in on one giant cookie sheet. The hardest part was cutting the pieces the same size so we could begin construction. 
Ta Da. Complete. Our houses are more of the pueblo variety, as they have a flat roof. :)

And here we are sprinkling reindeer food and glitter so Santa and his crew can find our home.

We decided to check out the decorations at the Gaylord this year. We did not see the Charlie Brown ICE exhibit, as I know I would have been freezing and miserable. Plus the fact that it is QUITE expensive, I think we may do that in a few years when the boys are older. But we had a good time walking around and taking pictures.
