Joaquin’s 3rd Birthday

Joaquin chose to have his 3rd birthday at Chuck E Cheese this year.  I told myself that we will do only ONE Chuck E Cheese party per child.  Marco had his for his 2nd birthday and now J has fulfilled his lifetime allotment.  :)  He had a lot of fun playing all the games and making a mess of his face with the green icing.  There were 7 of his close friends celebrating with him and it was a great time for all.  IMG_3480 IMG_3484 IMG_3495  IMG_3502 IMG_3504 IMG_3505 IMG_3506 IMG_3510 IMG_3515 IMG_3517 IMG_3617

Every year we take a picture of the boys on their birthday in Papi’s soccer jersey.  It is fun to see how they have grown throughout the years.

A little bit of randomness

Every year on their birthday we take a picture of the boys in Hector’s Mexico soccer jersey.  It has been fun to compare the current picture to the previous ones and see how much they have grown.

I am trying to get the perfect picture to hang above our piano.  I think I am going to use this one (sepia tone).  Good thing a got a few good ones before the boys started getting silly and smelling their own and each others feet.  Not quite sure how that all came about, but I think Joaquin was the instigator.

This is a craft I found in a magazine recently and decided to replicate it for the new baby’s room.  Quin’s hand is on the left and Marco’s is on the right.

Nancy’s 2nd birthday

The boys’ cousin Nancy turned 2 today, so we went over to their house to celebrate.  Her Hello Kitty cake was very cute, and the pink and purple icing were almost fluorescent.  Who knows how much dye they had to put in there to make it that color.

The boys making sure Nancy knows how to open her presents properly.  (that would be pull out all the paper as fast as you can to see what is in the bag.)

Nancy’s mom and dad got her this play doll house.  I think the boys were just as interested in it as she was.  Going over to her house is really the only time they get to play with “girl” stuff.
