Sleepy Time

Lunch with Santa

Every year the city of Grapevine has a special lunch with Santa program.  They provide all the entertainment and all you have to do it bring your lunch.  This year, it fell on the same date as Joaquin’s preschool Christmas program.   We had already decided that Marco would attend the program, so why not round out the day by having lunch with Santa as well.  Marco has not missed a day of school, so we figured one absence the first half isn't too bad.

Funny how Camila didn’t mind Santa when she was by herself but as soon as we got the boys in the picture it was all down hill from there.

The boys were just chatting away, probably making sure they were on the good list.

This was taken towards the end of lunch time.  Mrs. Claus seemed a bit tired after all the excitement.

This photo made me laugh!  What is even more funny is Joaquin’s version below.  HA!

Christmas Light Fun

Christmas lights are fun to see, but even more fun with friends.  I hope we can keep this tradition as it is a great time for the kids and adults.

Camila all bundled up.  This may have been overkill, as it wasn’t that cold out.

These last two pics were taken outside a house that has an awesome light display synced to a radio frequency.  The boys begged to get out and take a picture.  It was kind of hard to time it just right as the lights ere continuously moving.

Finally the Tree

Marco is excited about a present he made at school for us.  When he brought it home he asked me, “Do you want to open it now, or wait for Christmas.”  Part of me really wanted to open it right then, but I was good and told him I could wait until Christmas.

Wow, Camila’s head sure looks HUGE in this picture.  (even bigger than the tree in the background)  She has started doing what Hector calls the skunk face.  She scrunches up her nose and blows air in and out of it like a bull.  Now when Hector says, “Give me your skunk face” this is what she does.  Pretty talented, I know.  ;)

Hide and Seek

We play this little game sometimes when I have a ton of laundry to fold.  I dump out all the baskets and then she crawls all over the mountain of clothing.  I usually play peek a boo by tossing a few shirts over her head and see how long it takes her to escape.  Fun times!

There she is!

And of course the first thing she would find out of that whole pile is the nursing cover.  Go figure!

Poor Baby

Camila got her first ear infection a few days ago and the only sign was the area around her eyes were pink.  None of the kids have ever had pink eye, so I wasn’t quite sure how it would look.  The doc did say that technically she did have pink eye as well, but it was only secondary to the ear infection.  So by the second day of antibiotics the eyes were back to normal. This whole time she never seemed to mess or be bothers by her ears, but now that we have been on the meds for a while I see her sticking her little fingers in BOTH ears (according to the doc it was only the right one)  Just hoping this passes quickly, as it is hard to see them looking to pityful.
